Thursday is Usually "This Old House Day"

Do you like new construction or old?

Click HERE to see the brick house on Adams Street that was demolished to make way for this expansive new construction. I noticed that the pole lamp survived the year ordeal.

Sometimes it is sad to see progress! Great photo of the old house and what is replacing it!

Is this the place that was seized by authorities after being involved in that major drug bust, or is that just another Quincy myth?

I liked the bones of the old house. It's hard to render an opinion on this one until it's finished. How do you feel about it?

Thank you everyone for visiting and leaving a thought or two.
Beak- I don't know if this place was involved in nefarious deeds or not but there is another red brick newish style house near Whitwell Street, that was seized by authorities . . .
BC- I too like to see a building with good bones, character and patina be refurbished and enhanced rather than torn down for new construction.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
