Peace, Happiness & Prosperity!
A troup of well-wishers went to various businesses in Wollaston yesterday to help wish business owners good luck, happiness and prosperity for the coming year. They banged the drum and clashed the symbols to cast out any evil spirits that might be lurking there. This was part of Chinese New Year festivities for Lunar Year 4708; the Year of the Tiger. Quincy's Asian population in 2006 was about 20%.
