"The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month."
-Henry Van Dyke (1852–1933)
Fisherman's Luck (1899)

Furnace Brook is running high and fast along the Parkway.

Brrrr, those trees have got some cold feet, don't they? Our trip to Boston is a go. Are you still keen on sharing a bit of time together? Caution: I move very slowly these days.

My son jumped into that Brook many years ago when the water level was unusually high & moving fast like rapids. It was the first day of Spring but very unspring-like weather!!!

Oh, I love the contrast of the leaves and river along with the shape of the river going through the forest.
