This was a bright spot to an otherwise raw, rainy day yesterday. I had a great time playing with my 50mm 1.4 lens to get the blurred background you see here. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.

Red is the colour that will always stand out, nice to see the depth of field, completely changes a shot.
Beautifully composed, Slim.
Oh wow slim! That is just beautiful. I love it! Thanks for the tip off about this photo. I'm glad I checked in.
I'm still lurking on peoples blogs, but resisting commenting. I'm doing very little photography at the moment (again) I will get back into it. I think once spring proper arrives here things will be more appealing. Anyway, I hope you are well and you are clearly still enjoying taking photos.
All the best for now
Marley :)
Thst's a gorgeous shot. I found you on Crap Management and wanted to come over and say hi! I'm going to take a look around your blog now!

Thanks for stopping by! Gotta love the tulips while they're here...
Congrats on closing in on 1000 photos! The 365 game is addicting, isn't it? I just started my 2nd year.
I enjoy your photos -- we lived in Quincy, near Wollaston Center, for several years and I love it when you capture something I recognize!
This is really pretty! One of my favourite flowers!
