An 83 year old, third generation stone cutter from Quincy created this 11 foot granite fountain in Merrymount Park. Ed Monti, of Monti Granite, uses a high pressure torch to burn the granite stone into shape.
This is my contribution to Skywatch Friday.

Nice variation on a sunset shot.
Slim, this is simply gorgeous.
That is beautiful. The Monti's made the stone for my Dad's grave at St. Mary's in West Quincy.
It's beautiful!!!

I will have to make a trip to merrymount park to check it out. I don't remember ever seeing that.
I like the balance in this. Right smack dab in the middle works on this.
wow! lovely!
Nice photo as always.
It is a nice fountain. I would have liked to see one that people could perhaps wade in. Having grown up in Quincy when using the beach was just taken for granted it is a shame to see it closed down so often. I think that perhaps some sprinkler parks or something similar would be great. Just a thought.
lovely shot! the colors are beautiful as is the fountain
That's a beauty.
Beautiful light and shadows!
beautiful pastel sky. cool fountain.
Beautiful photo! and of course fountain. Thank you Slim for stopping by.
Oh...this is incredible. I love the soft colors and the flowing water. It really looks like a watercolor painting. Well done! Thanks for stopping by at my SWF post. Enjoy the day.
