This Atlantic humpback whale, named Pitcher, took a break from its feeding frenzy to show off its white fins. It was an incredible sight to take in just a few miles north of Quincy Bay at the National Marine Sanctuary called Stellwagen Bank.
Did you know that the East Coast Humpbacks have white fins and the West Coast variety have black fins?

How cool to see whales up close. Boston gives the impression of a big old city but love seeing nature has an important place in the community.
