Snow Job

Woke up this morning to a some slushy snow as a backdrop to the autumn leaves. Warm ocean air kept this historical snowstorm at bay. Inland, the Bay State received as much as 2 feet of the snowy crystals!

Wow! Now this is where the contrast between Central Coast California and your part of the country is really dramatic. I'm sitting with door and windows open, shorts, no shoes with the sun blazing in while hoping it doesn't get too hot today. Your picture is lovely though and that's what I miss out on. Those types of photo ops.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
