Travel Tuesday: Winter Harbor, Maine
It took me a couple minutes to figure out what these stone blocks with the rusted loops were about. Do you know? Hint: Winter Haven is located along coastal Maine.
Call it Yankee ingenuity - these blocks of granite are fixed with a metal loop and act as a weight for the lobster traps that dot the coast of Maine. There is ample supply of granite blocks from local quarries!

I would say they're moorings for boats.
