With the advent of the cell phone, pay phones have become an endangered item. I found this one on Hancock Street right outside the site of the former American Telephone & Telegraph Company (Ma Bell)now occupied by Verizon.
I'm always on the lookout for telephone booths . . . do you have any in your part of the world?

well here in india we do have a lot of telephone booths. but they arent really booths per se, most of the times they are like a pay phone, you put in coins by the minute.
the booths are primarily for international / national calls.. the former is btw called STD... it stands for Standard Trunk Dial..
