Keep Your Eye On The Puck

These boys are enjoying the great outdoors playing some pickup hockey at Sailors' Home Pond.

The city opens the gate to the pond when the ice is safe to skate on. The shovel in the foreground serves as their "Zamboni" to clean the ice.

A photo that brings back such warm memories. Does the city still turn on lights at night?
In the summer we used to also fish here.

Great photo, Thank You

I'm glad this brings fond memories back for you too. My brother used to fish here and he played hockey here with some of the priests from St. Ann's. I don't know whether the lights still go on at night.

Hey great photo. There is nothing else quite like outdoor hockey.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
