Thursday is "This Old House Day"

Today's handsome brick house has a Tudor influence.  I can imagine spending many a summer day in that screened-in porch on the side of the house.  Most of the homes in the Adams Street neighborhood were built in the 1940s.  I'm guessing this one was too.

An interesting style- I would never have been able to date it correctly. I'd be happy to sit in that side area too, with a good book and the warm sunshine flowing in...

I would have dated these Tudor houses earlier... from the 1920's.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
